An exciting opportunity exists for a Medical Physics Specialist to join a dynamic team at Northern Sydney Cancer Centre.

Radiation Oncology at Northern Sydney Cancer Centre is a strong multidisciplinary team of professions offering innovative care and developing solutions for the future.

What you’ll be doing
This role reports into Medical Physics and provides a broad range of patient and technology support for implementation and performance of high quality patient care. This role will provide service in software development and advanced imaging applications.

All NSW Health workers are required to thats have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine by 30 September 2021 and two doses by 30 November 2021 or have an approved medical contraindication certificate. You will be required to provide a record of your COVID-19 vaccination status if successful.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
  • Certified by ACPSEM in Radiation Oncology Medical Physics (or eligible within 6 mths) and ability to satisfy NSW Medical Physics Award
  • Clinical medical physics experience in advanced radiotherapy practise including brachytherapy
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and to initiate quality improvements
  • Demonstrated experience with developing external collaborations, software development and advanced imaging practise
  • A demonstrated high level of oral, written communication and associated interpersonal skills
